Toy Story Mania Preview
Toy Story Mania is the first video game to feature the lovable characters from the mega-hit Toy Story movies.  Toy Story Mania is a collection of carnival games based on the theme park ride. The theme park ride takes riders through different galleries designed like sets from the movie. In each gallery, riders have to shoot balls and darts from the safety bars attached to their cars, racking up points for hitting targets and finding hidden Easter eggs. These shooting galleries are the inspiration behind the game. The game uses the Wii remote controller to shoot at targets but it's not as easy as "ready", "aim", "fire". What makes these mini-games challenging, is that there's no aiming reticule, so you'll have to work out for yourself just how hard to swing the Wii remote in order to hit what you're aiming at. The pies, rings and darts also act like they do in real life, so they don't just travel in a perfectly straight line every time. To score top points, you'll need to practice your aim, take gravity into account, and work out the perfect technique for each mini-game!
All the great characters from the movies are included in the game, and it's great to see Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and the green army men again. Like the theme park ride, the game includes 3D bonus experiences and the game comes packaged with a special pair of 3D glasses. The game is exclusive to the Wii console and is due for release in September 2009.
